The plain-language ground rules for using Bookcase as a public reading log, review space, and book forum.

Bookcase works best when people use it like a thoughtful public shelf: honest, civil, and useful to other readers.
By creating an account or using Bookcase, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to them, please do not use the service.
Bookcase is a social reading tracker for logging books, writing reviews, creating lists, joining clubs, and starting forum-style conversations around books.
You must provide accurate information when creating your account and keep your credentials secure. You must be at least 13 years old to use the service.
You retain ownership of the reviews, lists, and discussions you post. By posting them, you grant Bookcase permission to display and distribute that content inside the platform.
Book metadata may be sourced from third-party services including Open Library. We work to keep it useful and broad, but titles, covers, descriptions, and publication details may occasionally be incomplete or inaccurate.
Your reading activity, reviews, lists, and profile information can be visible to other users as part of Bookcase’s social features. We use account data only to operate the service.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may stop using the service at any time.
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
If you have questions about these terms, reach out through the Roadmap page or start a discussion inside Bookcase.
